We have the Power2Change!
The Sierra Club recently
launched a
Power2Change
advocacy campaign to educate the public about what is at
stake in the 2008 elections. We have the ability to move
away from the polluting policies of the past and forward
to a clean energy economy, which will save consumers money,
create jobs and solve global warming.
We need to
let candidates know that the ‘Power to Change’ is within our
grasp!
Come join
us
for a Neighborhood House Party:
Upper Arlington ‘Green’ House Party
Sunday, April 20th, 3pm to 5pm
1507 Cardiff Road, Columbus, OH 43221
Special Guest:
Cathy Duvall, Sierra
Club’s Political Director!
Refreshments, CFL light bulbs, and refreshing outlook on our
clean energy future!

Please sign our Petition – help show how the choices we make
in 2008 can have a huge impact on our energy policy.
We will be sending the petition to all candidates, including
presidential candidates, demanding they choose clean energy
solutions.
By signing the
Ohio petition
you will tell our candidates: "You have the Power to Change
our energy policy"?

Cool UA Town Meeting
 |
Thanks to all who came to show support for
our efforts to make Upper Arlington a Cool City!
We had a great turnout at our first town
meeting and heard from several experts and local officials
about what UA is already doing to to address the current
climate challenge and steps that we can take to become a
more sustainable community.
We will keep you posted on progress with the city and hope
that many of you are able to come to the City Council
Meeting next Monday where our initiative will be brought up
for discussion.

As a Cool City Upper Arlington will be aided in the process
of conducting an energy audit to help identify steps that
can be taken to reduce energy consumption while saving
taxpayer dollars. We are committed to following the
City of Columbus and Dublin’s lead in developing a “Green
Team” to develop recommendations for local schools,
municipal buildings and city owned vehicles.
